8 May 1971  Arsenal won the Double for the first time, beating Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Arsenal won the FA Cup in extra time, after going 1-0 down to Liverpool in the first period of extra time.  The first goal was scored by Eddie Kelly, and the second by Charlie George, which was followed by just about the most famous celebration of all time.
